A.Ag Workshops

A.Ag. Workshops

A.Ag. workshops are organized by the branches and held once or twice a year in each region of the province as well as in conjunction with the BCIA Annual General Meeting.  These workshops cover two primary topics, The Profession of Agrology and Professional Ethics and are required as part of the A.Ag program.  The workshops may be combined into a single event or be held at different times, depending on the requirements within the region.

The Profession of Agrology workshop consists of the following topis:

The Professional Ethics workshop has been developed.

It is based on case studies and scenarios that will challenge the participants to choose the ethical solutions to problems they encounter.

It also provides the basis for ethical thinking and behavior in all activities, upon which the profession relies for its public mandate.

The first Professional Ethics workshop was held at the Annual Conference in Prince George (May 2007) and was attended by over 100 participants.  The feedback was very positive.

Workshops are held throughout the year in various locations.  The office sends out emails to notify the members of each branch when details are available.  Check the events calendar as all workshops are posted there as well.

If you require further information on workshops contact your Branch A.Ag coordinator or the BCIA office at 250-380-9292.
