I did my Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Science in 1982. After graduation, I completed my Masters of Science in agriculture in 1984. I also did research on “Effects of different level of nitrogen and pruning of the growth of Peach plants” in 1984. After post graduation, I joined Indian Farmer Fertilizer Cooperative Ltd. (IFFCO) as agriculture graduate trainee and successfully completed the training, and then got promoted as a Field representative. I have 22 years of work experience in layout of research trials on bio-pesticides, IPM, Integrated Plant Nutrition System, Imphos project collaboration with South Africa on farmer’s field, demonstration plot on balanced fertilizers programmes, crop seminars, field days, farmer meetings, soil testing campaign, seed treatment campaign, tree plantation, sale promotion campaign in villages. I left IFFCO as a deputy field manager and moved to Canada where I joined Sidhu & Sons Nursery, mission, B.C. as a supervisor. I got more experience in shipping, fertilizer and chemical application to ornamental plants and blueberry, propagation and pest monitoring for two years. After that I got the opportunity of working with Green Valley Fertilizer Ltd. as a Sales Agronomist, where my job is to provide technical knowledge, agronomic advice, field scouting, soil and tissue testing, result interpretation and recommendation to farmers. I have successfully completed one year as Agronomist work in Green Valley Fertilizers Ltd. Having a good relationship with customers, I tend to increase the sales very effectively which broadens my image and reputation in today’s society. |
