Jonathan Croston, P.Ag.
Mr. Jonathan Croston, B.Sc., P.Ag., has eleven years of environmental work experience including contaminated sites and forestry related projects. Mr. Croston has been an Project Scientist at SNC-Lavalin Environment Inc. (SLEI) since 2005. Mr. Croston works out of SLEI’s Nelson Office and is currently acting as a project manager/coordinator and as the technical manager/trainer for SLEI staff in the West Kootenays. While working with SLEI, Mr. Croston has predominantly been involved in characterization, delineation, and remediation of current and abandoned mine sites in locations throughout British Columbia, Canada. The work he has been directly involved with includes the design of characterization/delineation programs, evaluation of contaminant fate and transport in surface and groundwater, acid rock drainage/metal leaching evaluation, risk-based remediation, screening-level risk assessments, environmental liability assessments, liaison with regulatory authorities and advising clients on remedial options.

Prior to joining SLEI, Mr. Croston developed and executed groundwater monitoring/sampling programs, aided in the development of a strategic land use plan, in addition to various forest health, development and hydrological survey projects. He is an adept team player who has the ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing situations. Mr. Croston lives and works in Canada and is fluent in English.
