BCIA Council recently reviewed the draft recommendations from the Communications Committee (CC) which were developed in response to the results from the BCIA Member Survey conducted last fall. While the final report will be available to members in March for discussion, there was one particular action item that requires your immediate attention.
According to the survey results, 90% of respondents stated that they would allow their name and contact information to be included in a published BCIA Member Directory.
To prepare a BCIA Members Directory we need your permission to release your contact information.
Please fill out the following BCIA Members Directory Information Release Form by April 30, 2008.
The BCIA Membership Directory will only be compiled if more than 50% of the active membership releases their information. The directory will be available as a PDF file to members only. A hard copy may be printed if the majority of members agree to release their information.
Note that the BCIA Membership Directory will provide contact information as of March 2008. Any changes in contact information will only be available on the website, and only if the information is released by the member.
So you have four choices:
- Not to release any contact information;
- Only release contact information for the BCIA Members Directory (PDF version) which will be available to members only;
- Release contact information for the BCIA Members Directory and Members Listing on the website; or
- Release contact information for the BCIA Members Directory and/or to the public on the website.
Please consider releasing your contact information to the public on the website. Every week the BCIA Registrar's office receives 5 phones calls requesting contact information for Agrologists. No information can be released to other Agrologists or the public without your permission.
