DWB is seeking applications for intermediate to senior Environmental Professionals proficient in scientific report writing and environmental monitoring to fill positions in our Prince George, Fort St. John and Lac La Hache offices.
Successful candidates will have a minimum of 5-7 years working in forestry, mining, oil and gas, and/or transportation industries. Current or eligibility for a relevant professional or technologist designation (e.g., RPBio, PBiol, PAg, though RBTech will be considered) is preferred. Must be able to thrive in demanding, fast-paced progressive work environments. Current experiences should include, but are not limited to;
- Environmental monitoring on construction projects
- Erosion and sediment control (ESC) Plans
- Construction environmental management plans (CEMP)
- Proficient identification of fish/wildlife/vegetation
- Environmental protection plans (EPPs)
- Understanding of environmental policy and regulatory processes in BC
- Technical report writing
- Liaising with clients and regulators
In addition, the candidates should have strong organization skills, and effective relationship building skills with ability to work longer hours in a physically demanding environment, often with limited supervision. The candidates must also be comfortable with field work in remote locations and/or travel between offices.
