This event will explore resiliency at various scales and through various perspectives, with a particular focus on environmental and agricultural resiliency.
The morning session will cover broader themes such as “what is resilient thinking” and how we can achieve co-benefits by solution-focused thinking. It will also focus on more tangible examples of resiliency in action, covering topics such as climate action and flood planning. The panel discussion that will close off this session will allow for the exploration of common themes, ideas and the role that Agrologists play in this space.
The afternoon session will focus more specifically on agricultural resiliency in Northern and Central BC. This session will feature speakers that will outline various programs, current research and opportunities for improving resiliency in the agricultural sector. It will draw on examples and experiences related to the challenges that many BC operators have experienced in recent years. The event will be the branch’s first in-person event after the pandemic and is sure to offer many opportunities for learning, cross fertilization and engagement.
An agenda will be posted here once details are confirmed.
