Angela Boss, PAg, will speak about her experience in international agriculture development using a case study of putting the principles of conservation agriculture into practice with farmers in semi-arid, high rainfall and humid tropic regions of Sub-Saharan Africa and Central America. She will highlight how the focus on principles, rather than practices, led to high levels of farmer innovation.
Bio: Angela Boss worked in tropical agriculture from 2002-2019 and she is currently a Regional Agrologist with the BC Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries on Vancouver Island.
