Location:

Fraser Valley (District 2)
PD hours:

The Fraser Valley Branch of the BCIA invites you to register for their upcoming Annual General Meeting, being held virtually on Tuesday January 26, 2021 at 1:00 PM

Since this meeting will be held virtually, we need to organise in advance to be prepared to accept nominations for positions on the branch executive, receive motions, administer the code of ethics oath for new PAgs and RTAgs, and prepare for oral presentations from articling registrants.

Joining the Branch Executive

We need fresh energy on the executive team for 2021. Participating on the branch executive provides an excellent opportunity to engage with the BCIA community and learn about how the institute operates. Volunteering on the executive requires a minimum time commitment of approximately one hour per month. In exchange, volunteers receive PD credits and invaluable connections to Agrologists throughout our branch and the Province.

We are seeking nominations for the following positions:

  • President
  • President Elect
  • Professional Development Coordinator
  • Treasurer
  • Directors at Large

For descriptions of each position, please see Branch Executive Committee Responsibilities document. If you have any questions about volunteering on the branch executive, please ask!

Please submit your nomination or self-nomination to fv.branch.bcia@gmail.com. Nominations will be accepted up to January 19, 2021.

Note: This year, nominations will only be accepted from the floor for positions that do not receive nominations prior to the AGM.

Receiving Motions/Resolutions

The Fraser Valley branch is accepting motions and resolutions from FV Branch registrants in good standing. To make a motion, please email fv.branch.bcia@gmail.com by January 19, 2021.

Code of Ethics Recital and Recognition for New PAgs and RTAgs

The Fraser Valley branch executive would like to congratulate everyone who earned their PAg or RTAg status in 2020.  We look forward to welcoming the new PAgs/RTAgs at the AGM.

Articling Registrants Oral Presentations

A number of Articling registrants will make their oral presentation at this year’s AGM. We cannot take any more requests to present at the AGM.  If you are an Articling registrant and need to do your presentation, please contact Parashar Malla (Parashar.Malla@fcc-fac.ca), Articling Coordinator, to arrange for an alternate date.
