GO FOR GRASS! FIELD DAY
Open to all branches and non BCIA members!
When: Monday, August 23 9am-2pm
Where: Laurie Guichon Memorial Grassland Interpretive Site. The 102 hectare area is located approximately 11 km southeast of Merritt, British Columbia, east of highway5A/97C at the junction with an access road to Lundbom and Marquart Lakes. Click HERE for more details.
The BCIA Kamloops Branch and the Grasslands Conservation Council of BC are excited to welcome everyone to a day of grassland discussion, philosophy, and hands on training. There will be a variety of passionate experts speaking about grasslands ecology, First Nations' values in the grasslands, range monitoring, invasive plant control methods, drone mapping and soil carbon sequestration. There will be something for everyone!
Packaged refreshments will be generously provided by the BCIA Kamloops Branch. More details to come.
