The Williams Lake PD Committee is hosting a virtual Lunch & Learn on Wednesday, September 16th from 12:00-1:00 pm. It will be presented using the Skype for Business app which has web access. The intention is to provide professional development and networking opportunities to the members of all five professional organizations (Engineers, Agrologists, Biologists, Foresters and Technologists) in Williams Lake, BC, area.  Please share this PD opportunity.

Introduction to iNaturalist

Wednesday September 16th – 12:00 to 1:00 pm: Online Presentation (Skype for Business Platform)

Presented by: Kiara Gannon

This presentation will provide an introduction to the citizen science application iNaturalist. The presentation will provide an overview of iNaturalist, address its benefits and limitations, show examples of how its being applied, i.e. The BC Parks iNaturalist Project, and conclude in a brief tutorial on navigating the iNaturalist webpage.

Kiara Gannon is Stewardship Technician for the Cariboo-Chilcotin Natural Resource District with FLNRORD and has varied background in ecology and natural resource science.
