Description: The Kootenay Boundary Branch is proud to host a presentation and field tour discussing the 2018 Grand Forks flood. Join Donna Dean, P.Ag, RDKB Manager of Planning and Development, as she gives an overview of the impacts to the landscape, infrastructure, and community resulting from last year’s flood. Field site visits will highlight a variety of post-flood remediation efforts as well as discuss the emergency response and recovery from both a Professional Agrologist and Professional Planner’s prospective.
Other Information: We will arrange carsharing to the field sites the day of. Coffee, light snacks, and a bagged lunch will be provided for this session. Good footwear and weather appropriate clothing.
Cost: $10 for BCIA members, $20 for non-BCIA members.
