The Okanagan Branch is pleased to host a Technical Writing workshop with Dr. Carolyn Labun, Professor of Teaching, School of Engineering, UBC Okanagan on December 12th from 3-5pm. This will be followed by a social event from 5-7pm. The cost of the workshop is $10 for members or $15 for non-members and the social will be generously covered by the Branch.
The workshop will be 2 hours in length. Please bring a piece of writing that you have questions about. This can be something that you have written as a professional or a piece that you have read and have technical writing questions on the content. If time allows, Carolyn will provide a sample piece of writing and a group discussion will be held regarding the technical writing aspect of it.
After the workshop, members are invited to stay and enjoy a Christmas social at the Upside Cidery. There will be appetizers and wood fire pizza with a cash bar. These socials are always a nice time to connect and relax with friends, new and old that you may not see at other times during the rest of the year. Come and share some seasonal cheer!
Your $10.00 (BCIA member)/$15.00 (guest) registration covers both events but if you are only able to make it to only the social or workshop please indicate which event you will be attending.
