The Profession of Agrology - A.Ag workshop
Date: Wednesday, May 8, 9:00 am to noon

AAgs planning to attend the BCIA AGM in the afternoon are invited to attend this face-to-face workshop in the morning.
This 2-3 hour workshop is a required as part of the A.Ag program. The webinar version is available to the AAg online yet the in-person workshop allows for networking and the opportunity to ask questions. The Profession of Agrology workshop consists of the following topics:
- What does it mean to be a Professional Agrologist?
- The history of BCIA
- The Agrologist Act (2003) and Bylaws
- Code of Ethics
- Scope of Agrology
- The role of Agrologists in decision making
- Continuing professional development requirements
- An overview of other resource professions and their governance
This workshop is NO CHARGE. Please register if you plan to attend.
Participants have the opportunity to access the Profession of Agrology PowerPoint prior to the scheduled in-person workshop. AAgs will need their AAg checklist signed off after completing this in-person workshop by their mentor, by someone on their branch executive, or by the workshop instructor.
