Tools for Navigating Uncertainty: An Interactive Discussion
This event is open to BCIA members only.
Join us for an interactive session exploring the lessons and insights we are each carrying from our experience of the COVID-19 pandemic, and uncovering tools to help us navigate future uncertainty together.
These past months since the COVID-19 pandemic was declared have brought significant changes and introduced a degree of uncertainty that we have had little experience with in the past few decades, in this part of the world. As a collective, we have wrestled with the discomfort of not knowing quite what is going on, what will happen next, and what to do about it, while contending with the intense feelings brought up by “normal” being pulled out from under us. In this session, we will engage in a series of breakout group discussions to share our experiences and responses to the COVID pandemic, identify “sense-making” tools and approaches for navigating unprecedented situations, and apply these insights to decisions we face personally and professionally. This will be guided by Erica Crawford and Rob Larson, who will share simple frameworks and tools for managing risk and navigating uncertainty – tools that will be increasingly important as we encounter the next waves of the pandemic and a changing economy, as well as the impacts of a changing climate.
Online, Zoom conference call. Link will be emailed prior to the session.
