Vancouver (District 3)

4th Annual Holiday Social and Members Appreciation Night

Hosted at the Yaletown Distillery Bar & Kitchen

Thurs, Nov. 23, 2017, 6:00 - 8:00 pm

The Vancouver Branch invites you to our annual Members Appreciation Night, where we get to mix and mingle, allowing for connections to form between new branch members and long standing branch members. The night is also used as an opportunity to thank our mentors for their continued efforts to help shape the next group of Professional Agrologists. Come and join us for a fun filled after-work soiree, mentorship talk and interactive networking activity at the Yaletown Distillery Bar and Kitchen!  In past years we have seen members form new friendships, re-connect with old friends and make some great industry connections.http://www.mjg.ca/drive/uploads/2014/11/DB-1.jpg

Bring your business cards and be prepared to ask for the skills you seek to develop and think about what skills you can offer others. Gwen Gnazdowsky of ONE Conversation Coaching & Facilitation (https://oneconversation.com) will lead us in an interactive networking activity. Gwen has been helping people resolve issues and achieve personal, professional and relationship goals for over 25 years, One Conversation at a Time! Gwen is committed to people empowering themselves/transforming their lives. She delivered a Ted Talk called “Happiness is a Paradigm Shift” for TEDxBCIT and an Assertiveness Workshop for Nurses at BCIT. She was the Speaker Coach for TEDxECUAD. Gwen has also taught Communication and Public Speaking Courses at Langara College. She was the National Mentorship Program Developer and Coordinator with the Women in Leadership Foundation. Gwen delivered workshops for Human-Resources Management Association, Certified Management Accountant Association, UBC Anthropology Students, Canadian Women in Science and Technology.  Gwen draws on her education and experience in Social Services and as a Life Skills Coach, having worked with people in crisis, Youth at Risk and their families.

We would love to see the mentors, mentees, members and guests come and enjoy a festive evening.  The night will be filled with mingling, while enjoying great food, beer, wine and spirits from the Distillery Bar and Kitchen.
