About this presentation:

Join the Vancouver Branch for your morning coffee break and earn Professional Development (PD) hours learning about the City-owned False Creek Neighbourhood Energy Utility (NEU).  This is North America’s first district heating system to utilize waste heat recovered from untreated sewage eliminating more than 60% of the greenhouse gas pollution associated with heating buildings.  The NEU is a city-owned, commercially operated utility business which provides space heat and hot water to more than 5 million square feet of mixed-use development, and is rapidly expanding to serve new areas of the City.

As this tour will take us into the heart of the heat utility, the tour can only accommodate 20 members safely. Due to this limit, you must be registered to attend this event. If you are unable to attend, please give at least 24 hours notice to allow waitlisted members an opportunity to attend.

For your safety, closed toe footwear with no heals is mandatory. The tour is expected to take 45 minutes.

Coffee and doughnuts will be served for your enjoyment!

REGISTRATION:  Log-in as a member.   Ensure you complete the two step process to register fully.

Thank you, the Vancouver Branch Executive
