Process, clarity and people-skills combine to make an effective meeting. In this session you will acquire a basic understanding of making a motion, debating, amending the motion and voting, as governed by Robert’s Rules of Order. In addition, we will walk through the steps of organizing, participating in, and effectively leading a meeting. You will leave this session with new skills, confidence, and a firm resolve to participate in, or lead, your next meeting with increased clarity, accuracy and authority. The result: an effective meeting. While participants may not necessarily agree with the decisions made, they will leave the meeting content, knowing that they have been informed, listened to, and treated fairly.
