2022 Annual Fees Renewal Process

BCIA Registrants should renew their registration online now and must renew by February 15, 2022Please click on the PAY FEES link.

There is a red dialogue box on the invoices for PAgs and TAgs that contains the declarations and the demographic survey for completion before payment (students, lay members and retired Registrants are excluded from the survey). See more about the survey at the bottom of this page.

Registrants must enter all 2021 professional development reports online by Saturday, January 15, 2022, 11:59 pm. Otherwise, a late PD report filing fee of $75 may be applied.

Registrants should renew their registration from their online profile tab "Invoices." Registrants who submit their 2022 invoices to their employers for payment are also subject to the February 15, 2022 renewal deadline.  Please allow sufficient time for employers to process renewals.

Registrants who have not paid their annual fees by Tuesday, February 15, 2022, will be subject to late fees, and those who have not renewed by Thursday, March 31, 2022, 11:59 pm will be struck off the register.

Best practices for BCIA registration renewal are:

  1. Submit notification of any status change ASAP, i.e. change to or from "On Leave" status.
  2. Reference the PD Guidelines and the Enforcement of Compliance documents.
  3. Enter all 2021 professional development (PD) activities on the online profile PD tab until January 15, 2022, or the $75.00 late filing fee may apply.
  4. Check that the required annual and three-year minimums for professional development hours are met (if not, be prepared to submit a PD learning plan if requested).
  5. Declare your areas of practice for 2021 in a new PD Report entry (PAg, AAg, TAg and ATAg only).
  6. Ensure your contact information is accurate, especially the primary email address.
  7. Confirm your current employer and work contact information as per OSPG directives by completing the dialogue box (if visible).
  8. The demographic survey (see below) is required for all Registrants before payment of annual fees.
  9. A mandatory declarations dialogue box will appear and must be completed before annual fees payment is permitted by the computer systems. Office staff cannot take payment by phone, email or mail until all declarations, including the 2021 professional development report and the demographics survey, are complete.
  10. A reminder that ATAgs and TAgs may only claim up to two (2) areas of practice (PAg and AAgs may claim up to three [3]).

2022 Demographics Survey

To complete the 2022 Demographics Survey, click the link and log in.  Alternately, each Registrant can log in to their profile without the direct link and participate in the survey.  A banner  is viewable near the top of the profile page that says: "Complete this mandatory questionnaire before payment of the annual fees." If the survey is already complete or the Registrant is ineligible (students, lay members and retired Registrants are excluded), the banner message will not appear. The survey will remain active until March 31, 2022.

The demographics survey is related to the Professional Governance Act and is compliant with the Office of the Superintendent of Professional Governance; submissions will remain anonymous, as the BC Institute of Agrologists will only provide statistical information.  View BCIA's Confidentiality, Privacy and FOIPPA Disclosure document.
