As registrants may be aware, the incoming Professional Governance Act requires lay councillors as part of Council. Accordingly, in July 2020, the provincial government appointed three lay councillors: Brock Endean, Matthew Voell, and Aiden Wiechula, RPF. Please join us in welcoming them to BCIA.
Brock brings his skills as a manager and facilitator with a background in community development and consultation to Council. Brock’s experiences working with RedPier Consulting, as Aboriginal Labour Market Coordinator at New Relationship Trust and the Ch’Nook Scholars at Sauder School of Business, UBC are appreciated.
Matthew Voell, Barrister & Solicitor
Matthew is an active barrister and solicitor specializing in civil, municipal litigation and administrative law. He is also a member of the BC Cancer Research Board and has been an Ethics Fellow with Providence Heath Care. Matthew has significant experience in actions, reviews and appeals relating to class actions, mental health, non-profits, contaminated sites and self-governing professions.
