The 2020 Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) of the British Columbia Institute of Agrologists (“BCIA”) shall take place, for 2020 only, by way of an online format on Thursday June 11th,2020 between 1:00 and 3:00 pm Pacific Daylight Time.
By Motions dated April 15th, 2020 the BCIA Council, (in order to accommodate the online format of the AGM) suspended, for 2020 only, any aspects of the current BCIA Bylaws that require personal attendance at the AGM or aspects which the current Covid 19 situation has made difficult or impossible to comply with. In accordance with these motions the following deadlines have been instituted or amended:
- The deadline for receipt of any resolution which a BCIA Registrant in good standing desires to be considered at the AGM must be received by the BCIA Head Office no later than 4:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time Friday May 8th 2020;
- Any and all valid Resolutions will be provided to all Registrants of BCIA in good standing by electronic means no later than Friday May 22nd 2020;
- Registration is now open on the BCIA website under EVENTS . Electronic access to the AGM site, including voting instructions, the proposed AGM Agenda, and other information required for the AGM shall be provided to all Registrants in good standing of BCIA by electronic means no later than Friday May 29th, 2020;
- For purposes of location the AGM will be deemed to be held in Langford British Columbia the site of the BCIA head office.
In compliance with Bylaw #35 the business conducted at the annual general meeting shall include:
(a) adoption of minutes of the previous annual general meeting;
(b) adoption of the audited annual financial statements;
(c) appointment of auditors;
(d) receipt of Council election results, if any; and
(e) any other business specified in the notice of the annual general meeting
