NOTICE - BCIA's COVID-19 RESPONSE

In light of the provincial health officer and minister of health orders and directives that are aimed at preventing the spread of the virus in BC, BCIA is taking steps to support public health recommendations to reduce the spread of COVID-19.  Also, read Minister of Agriculture Lana Popham's letter.

While our core operations will continue, BCIA employees have immediately implemented a plan for reducing in-office work and increasing the time working from home, and will do so until further notice. Take note that we will remain available to assist you as best we can with one staff person in the office during regular business hours. You may contact the BCIA head office at the telephone number and email addresses provided on the BCIA contact page. Our response times may be slower than usual. We appreciate your patience.

Regarding the BCIA Conference & AGM scheduled for May at Sun Peaks, it has been decided to reschedule the AGM to a later date.  Please stay tuned to the BCIA website for updates.

As for branch PD events all branch executives are encouraged to formulate interesting topics/speakers via Adobe webinar platform of which BCIA has available.  Bonnie at the BCIA office can assist in the development of these.  She can be reached at admin@bcia.com.

This is an unprecedented situation involving complex and rapid business decisions. We will continue to evaluate and respond to concerns as they arise and provide further guidance over the coming days and weeks.

We appreciate your patience as we continue to work and put new processes in place.  The situation remains fluid. Please check the BCIA website regularly for updates.
