Your 2019 BC Institute of Agrologists dues invoice is now available online in your member profile through the BCIA website at https://www.bcia.com/pay-invoice. Online payments via credit card are accepted. Payment can also be made by sending a cheque (can be post-dated) or credit card details to BCIA along with the invoice via mail or call the office.
If you don’t remember your log-in information, you will need to reset this to allow you to log-in to your BCIA profile. Go to www.bcia.com >log-in >Request a Password using your preferred email address we have in the system and you’ll receive an email to reset your member log-in.
BEFORE you can pay your dues, you are required to report your 2018 Professional Development activities AND declare your 2018 Area(s) of Practice within the online PD reporting form in your member profile at https://www.bcia.com/user/login > PD reports. You will see the PAY NOW button within your invoice once you have submitted your PD AND Area(s) of Practice.
Take note that including Professional Practice, the minimum to report is 30 PD hours per year, and a requirement of 125 PD hours over a three year reporting period. This allows higher reporting years to offset a possible lower year yet a three year total of 125 PD hours is a mandatory requirement.
AAg dues and PAg dues have increased to $415.00 and $475.00 respectively.
P.Ag.(Retired) members are exempt from PD reporting but are required to complete the online Status Declaration found behind the member log-in within the member invoice, or submit the P.Ag.(Retired) declaration paper form found under Member Forms and Guides, before payment is accepted.
Student members are exempt from PD reporting and payment of dues but are required to complete the online Status Declaration also found behind the member log-in within the member invoice (at $0.00).
When paying by credit card, you will receive a processing receipt via email. If you require an official hardcopy receipt and/or a membership card you can access that via your member profile >Dues Invoices/Receipts after your payment has been processed.
NEW this YEAR - The A.Ag. Program Tab is now available for all A.Ags to track their progress through the AAg program then to submit documentation required for the advance to P.Ag. status – check it out in your member profile and start tracking! In addition, ensure to ‘self declare’ certain completed elements within your PD Reports as they occur. NOTE: an extension fee has been added to 2019 invoices to those with 3+ years maintaining AAg status.
DEADLINE FOR DUES IS FEBRUARY 15, 2019 but we encourage members to pay 2019 dues before December 31, 2018. After the deadline date of February 15, 2019 a late fee of $100.00 will be applied to any dues unpaid. Both dues and late fee not paid by April 1, 2019 will result in removal from the register.
Note: If you wish to change your status or return your membership to active status you must complete and submit the appropriate form found online at www.bcia.com >Members>Forms and Guides. The request is then approved by the Registrar prior to dues being processed.
If any of your personal or contact information has changed please visit the website at www.bcia.com and login to update. As well, please release contact information in your profile as desired to other BCIA members as they may want to contact you. You may also wish to release certain contact information to the public – for either option simply click on the appropriate button, then save.
