We are seeking nominations for New Growth Agrologist of the Year Award and Innovative Agrologist Award.

The New Growth Agrologist Award is intended to promote good spirit, enthusiasm and camaraderie within the CCI Branch. The winner of this award will be a new PAg or TAg (5 years or less) or an articling registrant that shows energy and resourcefulness in work ethics, a clear understanding of Agrology, the ability to learn from the old-timers, and the ability to school the old timers. The Award Nomination should include the award title - New Agrologist, your recomendation for the award and a short statement as to why they deserve this award. Please email your award nominations to Nicki Veikle, CCI Director West, at nveikle@zenviroconsulting.ca.

Innovative Agrologist Award will be awarded to a recipient demonstrates the following in their work: Application of existing techniques or methods in new ways or to new situations; Development of new techniques or procedures; Innovative research (noteworthy new approach to researching a problem); Creative or new ways to achieve engagement/cooperation in addressing a problem, or Development or achievement of a sustainable (“green”) solution where such an option has not previously been employed or has faced barriers to implementation. The Award Nomination should include the Award title - Innovative Agrologist, your recomendation for the award and a short statement as to why they deserve this award. Being part of the Branch Executive is a great experience! You can learn about the business of the institute, help develop professional development activities that you are passionate about, add to your resume, and grow your professional network. Additionally, being part of the branch executive earns you some valuable professional development hours (5 hours)! We encourage everyone that is interested in putting their names forward.

Articling Registrants Needing To Do Their Oral Presentation and Newly Elevated Registrants:
If you are an Articling member that needs to complete their oral presentation at this year’s AGM, (5 minutes or less) please email Michelle Miller at mmiller@industrialforestry.ca by October 25th. Your email should include a short presentation (1 slide) with a description of who you are, your area of interest/ practice, and your professional experience. Please note: All those wishing to complete their oral presentation must pre-register with Michelle (and sign up when registering online).

All newly elevated Registrants (new PAgs, TAgs and LLAgs) will be recognized for their achievements. Those required to recite their Professional Oath, please provide your name to Michelle MIller at mmiller@industrialforestry.ca by October 25th, 2023. Please note: Those required to recite their oath must pre-register with Michelle (and sign up when registering online). **If you have already recited your Professional Oath at a previous meeting this is not required again at this Branch AGM.
