Join CCI Branch for an insightful webinar on enhancing emergency preparedness within BC’s agriculture sector, led by Ken Nickel, P.Ag. The BC Agriculture Council (BCAC) initiated this project to promote resilience within the BC agriculture sector in the face of increasing emergency events. This project involves the creation of a BCAC Emergency Plan, the development of tools and resources for Local Authorities to support agriculture during emergencies, and the promotion of on-farm emergency preparedness efforts to increase the resilience of all farms and ranches.

About the Speaker:
Ken Nickel, P.Ag., has been a BCIA member since 1989 and spent 28 years with the BC Ministry of Agriculture, where he played a key role in responding to six major emergency events affecting agriculture. Following his tenure in public service, Ken worked with the Bank of Montreal as an Agriculture Manager and has since led multiple BCAC projects supporting BC farmers and ranchers. He currently oversees the BC Agriculture Sector Coordinated Emergency Response Structure Project.
