CCI Branch is excited to announce a special opportunity to connect with one of our local ranchers in the upcoming “Meet Your Producer”. This 1-hour session will feature Kurt McGhie, an esteemed rancher from Smithers, BC, who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in sustainable agriculture.

Kurt operates a ranch that emphasizes regenerative farming practices, aiming to create a more sustainable and resilient agricultural landscape. In this session, he will delve into the numerous benefits of properly managed cattle on our rangelands. He will explain how improved rangeland efficiency not only supports better carbon sequestration but also contributes to overall environmental health.

A key focus of Kurt’s talk will be on the innovative use of probiotic tubs for livestock. These probiotics enhance nutrient absorption and feed efficiency, which is particularly vital during hay shortages.
