Join the Fraser Valley Branch for an engaging in-person tour of NATS Nursery Ltd. in Langley, BC. This is a great opportunity to explore large-scale nursery operations and learn more about plant production for restoration, reclamation, and urban environmental projects.
NATS Nursery operates over 140,000 sq ft of greenhouse space across 29 acres, producing a wide range of plants from starter to finished products. Their work supports municipal landscaping, mining reclamation, and green infrastructure projects, including the production of native plants used in green roof systems—notably contributing 350,000 plants to the Vancouver Convention Centre green roof project.
Participants will gain insight into nursery production systems, plant selection for restoration and infrastructure projects, and the role of native species in sustainable land management.
