A tour of the Cinnamon Ridge Composting Facility and Mission Flats Landfill is in conjunction with the 2023 BCIA Provincial Conference.
Recycling and diversion initiatives, solid waste management, hazardous waste discussion, landfill gas management. The cost is $50 per person. Guests are welcome; the cost is $50 for the field tour. Please provide your guest's first name and last name during registration for the field tour. Water and light snacks will be provided.
Part #1 of the field tour is hosted by the City of Kamloops and begins at the Cinnamon Ridge Farms (CRF) Composting Site departing from the Sandman Signature Kamloops Hotel. Bus transportation will be provided; these are the travel details if you prefer to drive to the CRF Composting Site: a 30-minute drive from the Sandman Signature Kamloops Hotel to the Cinnamon Ridge Farms (CRF) Composting Site. The CRF Composting Site field tour is scheduled for an hour starting at 1 PM.
Part #2, attendees depart for the Mission Flats field tour at 2:15 PM from the Cinnamon Ridge Farms Composting Site. Bus transportation will be provided; these are the travel details if you prefer to drive the 25-minute drive from the Cinnamon Ridge Farms (CRF) Composting Site to the Mission Flats Landfill (MFLF). The field tour of the Mission Flats is scheduled for an hour, starting at 2:45 PM.
Return to the Sandman Signature Hotel Kamloops from Cinnamon Ridge Farms (CRF) estimated time of arrival is by 5 PM.
