Join us for an engaging and informative day at the Yaq̓it ʔa·knuqⱡi’it Reserve and Crown Range! Meet at the TPIB office at 10am. Lunch will be included!

This event will offer valuable insights into local ecological management practices, invasive species identification, and range management techniques. Don't miss this opportunity to connect with local experts and fellow professionals in the field of agrology, biology, and range management.

Tentative Topics:

  1. Welcome and Introduction by Yaq̓it ʔa·knuqⱡi’it (TPIB):

    • Get an overview of the reserve and learn about areas of concern.
    • Understand current management practices and challenges faced by the community.
  2. Invasive Species Training by EKISC:

    • Identification: Learn to identify the most important invasive species in the area.
    • Impacts: Discover the ecological and economic impacts of invasive species.
    • Treatment Options: Explore potential treatment methods including spraying, pulling, and seeding.
    • Resources: Gain access to valuable resources for managing invasive species.
  3. Range Program:

    • Participate in a discussion on effective range management practices.
    • Learn about sustainable techniques to improve land health and productivity.

Registration:

This event is open to everyone, including local ranchers, agrologists, biologists, and other interested parties. Please be sure to register early to secure your spot and provide any dietary restrictions.

Lunch and Snacks:

We are providing a delicious bagged lunch and drink for all attendees. Please indicate any dietary restrictions during registration.

ATTENTION articling registrants!! The in-person event will be an excellent opportunity to network and meet with other branch registrants.
