Join the Okanagan Branch, the Okanagan Basin Water Board (OBWB) and the Okanagan Water Stewardship Council for a relaxed, conversational event that offers a great opportunity to learn more about water stewardship in the Okanagan while building professional connections.

Participants will hear about the OBWB’s role in the region, its history, and the important science-based and collaborative work underway to protect and manage Okanagan water resources. With time for discussion and informal conversation, this event is ideal for those interested in water governance, stewardship, and regional collaboration.

Dr. Nelson Jatel, B.Sc. (Limnology), P.Ag.

Water Stewardship Director, Okanagan Basin Water Board

Dr. Jatel has been part of the OBWB’s senior management team since 2007 and supports both the Board and its technical advisory body, the Okanagan Water Stewardship Council. A Professional Agrologist with advanced training in governance, economics, and limnology, Nelson is committed to advancing practical, science-based approaches to water management through strong partnerships and community-engaged solutions.
