The webinar is funded by Metro Vancouver, so Ocean Ambassadors Canada are only able to book webinars for organizations/companies that have staff based in the Metro Vancouver regional district boundaries (i.e., municipalities West of Abbotsford)

Ocean Ambassadors Canada, a local non-profit organization dedicated to combating plastic pollution in our oceans. This fall, we received funding from Metro Vancouver’s Solid Waste Services to provide free, 45-minute, interactive webinars on waste reduction to offices across the region.

The topic of the webinar is “Reducing Single-Use Item Waste: Challenges & Opportunities” (https://oceanambassadorscanada.org/zero-waste-programming/summer-fall-2023-community-event-outreach/). This presentation is targeted at office employees, working both in-person and remotely, to help them understand what single-use items are, why they are a growing problem in our region, and actions you can take, both at work and at home, to reduce this form of waste. Following the webinar, each participant will receive a PDF of resources & actions to help them do their part for waste reduction at their homes and in the workplace.

With limited availability for 20-30 offices in the Metro Vancouver region this year, Vancouver BranchbRegistrants should take advantage of this opportunity. To secure a spot, offices can use our online booking calendar once they know a time that works best for their staff: https://calendly.com/ocean_ambassadors/reducing_single-use_item_waste_webinar.
