Event Description: Following the 2024 Victoria and Islands Branch AGM, join us and The Nature Trust of BC for an exciting tour of the Kw’a’luxw (Englishman) River Estuary! Register for the VIB AGM HERE.

The Nature Trust of BC, a non-profit land conservation organization, has been safeguarding BC’s natural beauty since 1971. With over 500 conservation areas across the province, their work at the Kw’a’luxw River has been ongoing for over 40 years. Recently, they secured protection for 13 acres (5.2 hectares) of vital wildlife habitat along the river at 130 Shelly Road in Parksville. This beautiful ecosystem supports all five species of salmon, three trout species, and is home to migratory birds, black bears, river otters, and more than 250 species of wildlife.
