Join the Vancouver Branch on July 7, 2024, for an enriching and educational tour of the Coquitlam Watershed. This event offers a unique opportunity to delve into the history and importance of our drinking water. During this guided tour, we will travel by bus and stop at several significant locations to learn about the region’s water supply history, water treatment processes, and the critical role of maintaining healthy ecosystems. Maximum Capacity: 30 people. Sign up early to avoid disappointment!

Tour Highlights:

  • History of Our Drinking Water: Discover the fascinating history of the Coquitlam Watershed and how it has developed over the years to become a vital source of drinking water for the region.
  • Water Supply and Treatment: Gain insights into the processes involved in supplying and treating our water. Learn about the state-of-the-art facilities and technologies used to ensure our water is clean and safe.
  • Ecosystem Health: Understand the importance of preserving healthy ecosystems in the watershed. Learn how the health of the watershed directly impacts the quality of our water supply and what measures are in place to protect it.
