CANCELLED - With the current risk of spreading avian flu virus, the BCIA Vancouver Branch has decided to cancel this event. We hope to reschedule at a future date when the risk is lower and it is safe to do so.

Please join us for a family friendly tour of Rabbit River Farms, Canada’s first farm producing certified organic free-range eggs. Rabbit River Farms is dedicated to sustainable poultry farming with an emphasis on quality inputs, human health, sustainability, and the environment. The tour is planned to educate visitors on animal husbandry, including egg handling and washing practices.

Two tours will be run, each approximately one hour long
•   The first tour: 10:00am to 11:00am
•   The second tour: 11:00am to 12:00pm

The Meeting Location for check-in will be inside the entrance to Rabbit River Farms at 17740 River Road, Richmond, BC.

Cost:
•   13 Years+: $10.00
•   3 – 12 years: $5.00 (If more than one child, please contact office)
•   0 – 3 years: Free!

Agenda: Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your tour time. Coffee and light snacks will be provided!

The capacity for each tour is 15 people, total capacity being 30 overall. This is a family friendly event – kids, friends and family outside the BCIA are welcome.

• Rubber boots or waterproof shoes

Please do not bring footwear that has been recently used in another poultry farm, as cross-contamination between farms is a concern.

As we will be around farming operations, masks are recommended but not required.
