The Ministry of Agriculture and Food is seeking an Expression of Interest from Agricultural Water and Irrigation Extension Specialists to provide contracted services to assist B.C. farmers in a range of irrigation management practices including but not limited to assessing their irrigation systems, optimizing their water usage, enhancing irrigation efficiency, liaising and coordinating with a group of farmers on irrigation practices to collectively respond to drought conditions, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.

In this role, you will work directly with farmers, providing them with expert guidance on water management strategies and irrigation efficiency. Your goal will be to help farmers maximize crop yield while minimizing water usage and environmental impact. Contracted services may be full-time or part-time up to a term of 2 years. Contracting opportunities also may be available as when-needed bases.
