Registrants intending to resign from the Institute must complete a Resignation in Good Standing form (below). This avoids any additional penalties if you wish to return to the Institute.

As a resigned registrant you may make an application for reinstatement within three (3) years of the resignation date upon payment of the (pro-rated) fee for the year in which you seek reinstatement plus a reinstatement fee. A registrant who has resigned from the Institute, and who has not applied for reinstatement within three (3) years from the date of resignation shall not be eligible for reinstatement and must submit a new application for registration.

No refunds will be given on fees already paid.  Requests are processed within 1 - 7 days of the requested date, with a confirmation email and letter to follow.

Take note that your name will be listed on the BCIA website under ‘Former BCIA Registrants’ for up to 10 years as per directives relating to the Professional Governance Act (PGA).

Please reference the Agrologists Regulation and the definitions of Regulated Practice, Reserved Title, and Reserved Practice when considering your request. Financial constraints are not a valid reason to request a change in status.
