Guy believes that good governance has the potential to make our world better and is dedicated to making a positive social impact through board involvement. Therefore, he is excited about the opportunity to contribute to the BCIA’s mission of ensuring the professional integrity and competency of its Registrants and to support the implementation of a new strategic plan.
Guy is currently the Executive Director of qathet Division of Family Practice (qDoFP), a progressive organization engaging family physicians in improving patient care. In his role, Guy oversees the strategic implementation of provincial primary care transformation initiatives in rural communities. Before joining the qDoFP, Guy served in various positions in international education institutions in France, Australia, Singapore and United Arab Emirates.
Guy is a certified corporate director with interest in risk management, ethics and social purpose. He sat of numerous boards and is currently the Board Chair of First Credit Union, a cooperative financial institution with $700m in assets under management. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education from Université de Montréal (1998), a Master of Business Administration from Royal Roads University (2013) and an International Masters for Health Leadership from McGill University (2023).
Guy lives on the traditional and treaty lands of the Tla’amin nation, in a small coastal community with his wife, two sons and their dog, Kylo. When not at work, at home or in a boardroom, he can be found trail running on the Sunshine Coast Trail, reading books by the fireplace or driving kids to activities!
