Joining the Branch Executive

The Branch is looking for great volunteers to fill a few important positions. Participating in the Branch executive provides an excellent opportunity to engage with the BCIA community and learn how the institute operates. Volunteering on the Executive requires a minimum time commitment of approximately one hour per month. In exchange, volunteers receive PD credits and invaluable connections to Agrologists throughout our Branch and the Province.

We are seeking nominations for the following positions:

  • President
  • President-Elect
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Articling Coordinator
  • PD Coordinator
  • Directors at Large

For descriptions of each position, please see the Branch Executive Responsibilities document. If you have any questions about volunteering on the Branch Executive, please ask!

Please submit your nomination or self-nomination to kim.grout@gov.bc.ca. Nominations will be accepted up to January 19, 2023.

Note: This year, nominations will only be accepted from the floor for positions that do not receive nominations prior to the AGM.

Receiving Motions/Resolutions

The Fraser Valley Branch is accepting motions and resolutions from FV Branch Registrants in good standing. To make a motion, please email kim.grout@gov.bc.ca by January 19, 2023.

Professional Oath Recital and Recognition for New PAgs and TAgs

The Fraser Valley Branch Executive would like to congratulate everyone who earned their PAg or TAg status in 2022.

We will provide an opportunity for those who need to recite their Professional Oath during our AGM. Anyone who earned their PAg, TAg or LLAg status in 2022, but has already recited the oath, can also request to be recognized during the AGM.

If you would like to recite the oath and/or be recognized for your achievement, please send your name, a recent photo to kim.grout@gov.bc.ca by January 19, 2023.

Note: We will not be able to accept requests to recite the Professional Oath or recognize new PAgs or TAgs from the floor.
