Harmful algal blooms are a major global environmental problem. Red tides, blue-green algae, and cyanobacteria are examples of harmful algal blooms that can have severe impacts on human health, aquatic ecosystems, and the economy.

Objectives:

To enhance participant’s knowledge on the Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs), the generation of Cyanotoxins, and the impact of Climate Change and agricultural on the development of these serious challenges.
To learn about procedures, methods, and technologies to maintain the delivery of safe drinking water and reduce the impact of HABs on public health and recreational activities.
