Learn more about a forest professional’s duty to protect the public interest in Foundations of Professional Forestry, a new webinar from Forest Professionals British Columbia (FPBC).
This webinar focuses four core foundations in the new document Foundations of Professional Forestry: conduct, competence, independence, and accountability.
Those foundations, along with the other standards in the Code of Ethical and Professional Conduct, ensure the public and environment are protected from present or future harm.
The webinar also highlights the differences between duty to report in the Professional Governance Act (PGA) and the same duty in FPBC Bylaws, and to describe the protective purposes of advice or services by a forest professional.
