Throughout the duration of the course, participants will engage collaboratively in the development of a Project Report document, encompassing:
An applied case study pertinent to the unique context of your municipality/organization.
- The application of triple-bottom-line methods to explore and select circular business models for further consideration.
- A comprehensive gap analysis aimed at identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Additionally, learners will benefit from downstream opportunities, including:
Further development of MCC-selected case studies within the collaborative Problem Solving Space (PSS), with exclusive Tier 2 PSS sessions available for municipalities enrolling three or more participants.
- Utilization of the completed Project report as a basis for crafting funding proposals for the Circular Economy Seed Fund (CESF) program, which offers support of up to $15,000 for feasibility studies conducted in collaboration with SMEs.
- Participation in symposia and conferences hosted by UBC’s MMRI, providing avenues for networking and strategic partnerships.
- Engagement in working groups comprised of MCC alumni, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of university-level education on the circular economy through the refinement of undergraduate curricula and career development pathways.
