Overview

Originally gifted by Mi’kmaq Elders Albert and Murdena Marshall, Two-Eyed Seeing encourages us to learn to see from one eye with the strengths of Indigenous knowledges and ways of being, and from the other eye with the strengths of Western approaches — and to use both together for the benefit of all.

In this engaging and accessible workshop, Len Pierre will guide participants through foundational teachings, personal reflections, practical workplace applications, and meaningful dialogue on how Two-Eyed Seeing can support healthier relationships, stronger leadership, reconciliation, wellness, and more culturally safe spaces within our communities and organizations.

Participants can expect:

  • Foundational teachings on the meaning and origins of Two-Eyed Seeing
  • Reflections on Indigenous and Western worldviews
  • Practical tools for leadership, communication, and relationship-building
  • Opportunities for personal reflection and discussion
  • A welcoming and interactive virtual learning environment

This session is ideal for educators, healthcare professionals, leaders, non-profit organizations, government staff, frontline workers, and anyone interested in advancing reconciliation and culturally safer practices in meaningful ways.

Come ready to learn, reflect, and explore how we can walk together in a good way through the teachings of balance, humility, and interconnectedness.
