Join the Fraser Valley Branch for an afternoon at Krause Berry Farms & Estate Winery in Langley. This complimentary field tour offers an opportunity to connect with fellow BCIA registrants while exploring one of the Fraser Valley's leading examples of diversified agricultural production and agritourism.

This guided tour will provide insight into the farm's integrated operations, highlighting how a modern agricultural business combines primary production, value-added processing, direct marketing, and agritourism to create a sustainable and resilient farming enterprise. Participants will explore topics such as berry crop production, crop management practices, irrigation and soil stewardship, integrated pest and disease management, harvest and post-harvest handling, and the challenges and opportunities associated with diversified farming in the Fraser Valley.

The tour will also examine the farm's value-added processing facilities, including the bakery, winery, and other on-farm food production, providing an opportunity to discuss how producers can add value to agricultural commodities while strengthening local food systems. Additional discussion will focus on agritourism as a business strategy, regulatory considerations, environmental stewardship, and balancing commercial production with public access and education.

Following the guided portion of the event, attendees are welcome to explore the farm's amenities, including the U-pick fields (season permitting), Harvest Kitchen bakery, Waffle Bar, home and garden market, estate winery, and Fresh Family Fun Field while continuing conversations with fellow registrants.
