VIU Deep Bay Marine Station Agrologist Professional Development Event
A half day event learning about local marine life, current issues in marine sciences, aquaculture research, seafood and shellfish processing, and a seafood lunch of locally sourced shellfish.
Registration: Cut off for registration is September 16th.

9:30 am- 11:00 am: Tour of Deep Bay Marine Field Station; research labs, shellfish hatchery, spawning area, phytoplankton growing, bioreactors for growing plankton. (Lead by Tim Green)
*10:00 am- 10:30am: optional boat tour of the shellfish farms in the harbour (Only 6 spots available - pre-reservation of spaces is required with registration ) **Leave station at 9:50am
