Registrants who currently have signing and use of seal permission under the Professional Governance Act can also digitally sign and apply an electronic version of their seal, with the date, to their professional documents. BCIA has a partnership agreement with 'Notarius', a trusted digital signature provider, to provide safe, legally secure, and reliable options for digital signatures and seals.

BCIA is looking to hire for the role of Registrar, a full-time (37.5 hours per week) position based in our Langford, BC office.

The Registrar is responsible for the effective and efficient management of admission, registration and accreditation activities for the BCIA. The Registrar will work with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to determine BCIA’s strategic direction especially as it relates to improving and updating the admissions, registration, and accreditation activities.

The Mission

The final audit report for two sections of the Agricultural Environmental Management Code of Practice related to compliance with the:

BCIA is looking for Registrants who are subject matter experts in one or more of the following areas:

• Cover Cropping
• Rotational Grazing
• Nitrogen management

BCIA is looking to hire trainers / presenters to organize and present virtual and / or in-person training sessions on the above subjects over the next 6 months.

Details:  This role is a term / contract position (paid per presentation / training session).

The Professional Governance Act (PGA) has been updated through Order in Council (OIC) by the Lieutenant Governor in Council to reflect modern governance terminology.

The BCIA is looking for two Lay members to sit on the Governance Committee.

UPDATE: We are pleased to announce that all Registrants with the April 30, 2023 deadline to complete Indigenous awareness training have now satisfied this requirement by the deadline. Registrants have had nearly 2 1/2 years to complete this requirement with BCIA offering monthly online courses with an in-person workshop offering in Kamloops, April 20th. This was a progressive step in requiring training by all Registrants so hats off to everyone.
