The Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship (WLRS) is developing best management practices documents for invertebrate species at risk. Concurrently, we plan to offer professional development opportunities focused on invertebrates, including classroom-based information sessions; field-based survey/methods training; and both field- and classroom-based identification workshops.
BCIA is pleased to announce the results of its online nomination process for three (3) Registrant Board Member positions within Districts 1, 2, and 3 in compliance with the Professional Governance Act (PGA) and the BCIA Bylaws. The Mentor of the Year award may be presented to an active Professional Agrologist (PAg) or Technical Agrologist (TAg) who epitomizes the values and leadership of a mentor engaged in the BCIA Articling Program. Nominations for the 2024 BCIA Board elections, Regional Electoral Districts 1, 2 & 3, are now open. BCIA officially issued a call for nominations for one (1) Registrant Board Member for each district. Registrants in good standing are eligible to sit on the Board and must meet eligibility requirements as described in each District notice. NOTICE: Continuation of the 2023 Annual General Meeting and Presentation of 2022 Audited Financial Statements
Thank you for your patience in receiving the 2022 Audited Financial Statements. The 2023 BCIA AGM, which originally began on April 22, 2023 at 9:00 AM will continue on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM PST via Zoom.
The BCIA Board and staff will present the 2022 Audited Financial Statements for approval.
The BCIA Office will be closed for the holiday season from December 22, 2023 to January 1, 2024, with staff returning January 2, 2024. All the best from the BCIA staff!
